On February 17th at 8pm ET / 5pm PT, EVRYMAN will be hosting a special event with clinical psychologist Dr. Sue Johnson on the topic of transforming your relationship. This call will be co-ed and open to members, non-members and the therapy community.
Dr. Sue Johnson is a clinical psychologist, researcher, professor, author, speaker. She is one of the leading innovators in the field of couple therapy. Most of her research focuses on the efficacy of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT), a therapy she developed more than 30 years ago. It’s acknowledged as the gold standard in tested, proven interventions for couples. She is the author of numerous articles and books, including Love Sense and Created for Connection, and Hold Me Tight, which she has developed into an online course for couples.
EVRYMAN knows this is an important topic for its members. Owen Marcus, co-founder of EVRYMAN explains, “We are hardwired for connection and when we don't have it, it is stressful and traumatic. Sue is teaching people how to connect, just like EVRYMAN does, in an effective and sustainable way. If EVRYMAN’s work was therapy it would be EFT.” He continues, “We are excited to work with Triad Behavioral Health on this because therapists will get to learn more about how men disconnect and how they best reconnect to themselves and others.”
