David Barth is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and is Clinical Advisor at a young adult transition program. He has worked with teens, young adults, and families for over 30 years in wilderness programming, therapeutic schools and in private practice. David works with young people, assisting them to see the brilliance within themselves that they often are not in touch with. David credits two primary sources of his inspiration. First is his 23-year-old son Jackson who has autism. Jackson has taught David a deep appreciation for acceptance, surrender, joy, and curiosity. Second is the Sandpoint Men’s Group (founded by Owen Marcus & Brad Golphenee) that David has sat in for nearly 16 years. David credits the steady presence and fierce love of his brothers as the foundation of his personal growth as a father, husband, and friend and professional growth as a counselor, leader, and mentor.
